With the Somsacksy Bungalows open for business since 2004, the manager Ms Soulivanh and Mr Pheng enjoy greeting guests and helping them plan their further travel throughout Laos. The owner of Somsacksy Bungalows, Mr Pheng, is originally from Kasi, a junction town further north on the route to Vang Vieng where he learnt his English. Having worked in Vang Vieng since 2000, he bought the land just outside Vang Vieng to build Somsacksy bungalows at the same time as the new market was being developed in the area. This provides guests with a good choice of food stalls and is a stop on the local bus route north.
